Agitated people set fire to the office of Narayanganj city ward-4 councillor and Siddhirganj Awami League vice-president Nur Hossain at Shimrail city corporation truck terminal at about 11:30am on Thursday.
Nur Hossain is the main accused in the ward-3 councillor Nazrul Islam and his assistants' abduction case.
The agitated people also set fire to a fair venue near the office. Police reached the spot after the incident.
The family members of Nazrul Islam filed a case accusing Nur Hossain for his involvement in the abduction.
There are 22 cases including 6 murder cases with Siddhirganj and Fatulla police stations against Nur Hossain.
