An Otobi Furniture factory at Akran in Savar caught fire on Tuesday night.
Witnesses said the fire originated at the factory about 10:00pm and it soon engulfed the whole factory.
Four fire-fighting units from Savar, Savar EPZ and Uttara fire stations rushed in and were trying to control the flames.
Details of the incident are still awaited.
