BNP to sticking to six rallies during Teesta row

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will desist six rallies during its long march to the Teesta Barrage in Nilphamari gone reference to April 22-23 to press for Bangladeshs fair portion of waters of the River Teesta.

BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the programme at a press conference at the BNPs Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka approximately Sunday.

He said the long march will be led by the partys acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. It is scheduled to begin at 8am coarsely Tuesday from uncovered BNP central office.

The street corner rallies will be held at Kaliakair,Tangail, Kaddar intersection in Sirajganj and in Bogra a propos Tuesday.

After overnight stay in Rangpur, the party will child support a public rally there at 9:00am almost speaking Wednesday and later restart their long march towards Teesta Barrage.

The march will ensue less after holding other public rally at Dalia of Nilphamari at 11:00am upon Wednesday.

BNPs 16 district units in Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions are taking preparations to make the long march programme a completion, Rizvi said.
