Bangladesh Coast Guard going regarding for Tuesday seized just about 700 kg of jatkas (hilsha fries) from two passenger ferries in the River Meghna.
Acting in story to a tip-off, a team from the Coastguards Station at Pagla, Narayanganj searched ferries, M V Farhan 1 and M V Sadim, and seized the jatkas worth about Tk 2 lakh.
The jatkas were handed other epoch to Munshiganj district fisheries overseer who compound distributed the fries in Madrasas and Orphanages in the district, said a press release.
