The High Court around Wednesday stayed a admin order to surgically sever tinted glasses from vehicles for two weeks.
A High Court bench comprising of Justice Mirza Hussain Haider and Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar issued the order after hearing a petition.
The residence ministry upon 30 April banned the use of black or tinted glasses upon microbuses in view of a recent rise in abductions in which those vehicles were used.
The order said tinted, black or coloured glasses would not be allowed upon the windshields and side windows or rear windows of any microbus from 10 May.
The petition was filed re May 14 challenging the legality of the processing order.
